Easy Homemade Twix Cookies!

Ingredients:

Cookie:

  • 1 1/2 cups softened unsalted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt

Caramel layer:

  • 15 oz bag of Kraft caramel
  • 2 Tbsp evaporated milk

Chocolate layer:

  • 2 cups Ghiradellhi melting chocolate

Instructions:

Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Cookie Dough: In a large bowl, combine softened butter and powdered sugar. Use an electric mixer to cream the ingredients. Add vanilla, flour, and salt. Mix until well combined.
Rolling and Cutting: Sprinkle flour on a cutting board or your counter. Roll the dough out to a thickness of 1/2 inch. Use a small circle cookie cutter to cut out cookies.
Baking: Line a baking pan with parchment paper and place the cookies on it. Bake for 14-16 minutes.
Cooling: Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool completely.
Caramel Layer: In a medium saucepan, combine the caramel and evaporated milk. Set the heat to medium and stir until melted. Use a spoon to spread the melted caramel onto the cookies, covering the entire surface. Allow the cookies to sit for the caramel to set.
Chocolate Layer: In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate wafers for 30 seconds. Repeat as needed. Spread the melted chocolate over the tops of the cooled caramel.
Setting and Serving:
